My Diary
19September, 2008
I have not yet heard anything from the concerned authorities. this is the state of affairs in India. No one feels obligatory to write back. Gandhi Jayanti is coming after few days. What face they would show to Gandhi Ji?

Subject: FW: No Action yet ? WHY?
Honorable President of Indiaand all the Dignified Officers of Mother India: So far, it has been like hitting your head against the wall. Please come forward for a prompt and efficient action. Please reply this email, atleast. That is needed. Almost all the Indian Government Offices and officers have their web sites with so many email IDs displayed. But it is hard to find one officer who would reply the mail, what to talk of efficiencies? I read about the RTI Act, the copies are attached , herein. Does that work?17July2007-My friend Gautam Mehta sent a group email telling that it is possible to file your personal as well public grievances online with Department of Admin.Reforms and Public Grievances,Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Govt. of India vide their website :
http://darpg-grievance.nic.in/.
Sitting on the Canadian soil and having your heart left behind in India, I want Indian admin system as transparent as we have here. So I also thought of putting my head in and contribute as much as I can.
Following is the text of the grievance that I wrote to the Ministry. I will keep you posted with all the updates.:
Part-I This grievance involves India’s security issue. It is more of a national interest than personal. That is why the issue is taken up. Panchkula Police visited our house #76,Sector 06,Panchkula continously for seven years(1999 till approx. 2006) in search of a tenant, Mohammed, who never lived in that house. Despite our regular NOOOOOOOOOS, they created a false file, recorded self statements to show us that Mohd. lived in that house.
The house belongs to My Father-In-law who was a retired veteran and a senior Army Officer. He fought four wars for the country.I was a leading pratising Dentist and very well known in Panchkula.
We met then SP-Alok Mittal in 1999 or so who was not courteous enough to receive us well in his office. Some gossiping took place between him and some ASI-Ashwani kumar. We were asked to go home with the assurance that the issue will be taken care.( Educated people feel humiliated to visit police stations. Our Police needs extensive training to have attitude of community service.)ASI Ashwani Kumar visited our house most of the times, each time to hear NO.
We emigrated to Canada in 2000. My mother-in-Law visited us in 2004 and in casual discussion, the reference of the event came. She told us that the Police was still enquiring about that tenant.
Our care taker for the house, Ramesh Bhardwaj, told us that the police visited the house in early 2006 also. What is the Police upto ?
We want to know why the police kept a file open for such a long time as six-seven years. What is the outcome?
I sent emails in early 2006 to Home sec, President of India, Registrar- Supreme Court of India and the leading media including Zee,Aajtak etc.
I have a record of those emails.
I shall write a detailed story after we hear concrete from the ministry. This story, if conclusive, will definitely improve the investigative system of Police and also may help in minimising the harassments that innocent people in India have to face.
